Positioning on bed

Notes on the exercise

1: note the grip of the hands and use of body as lever
2: continue to use body weight to position leg
3: using whole length of arm (and not hand) to gain traction
4: use of body weight to lever leg into position

Normal bed to chair transfer

Notes on the exercise

1: note position of hands on the bed and right arm of chair
2: lean forwards to position body weight directly above feet
3: continue to balance weight above feet and swivel hips to chair
4: keeping arms in their original positions, lower body into chair

Chair to bed transfer

Notes on chair to bed transfer

1: adjust plank between chair and (note left arm support)
2: place hands equidistant on either side of knees
3: lean forward to place weight firmly above feet
4: with balance straight above feet, raise body straight upward with arms
5: still upright, with one hand check plank position on bed
6: reposition both arms to allow body to swivel round above bed
7: push plank onto chair and both away from bed
